Right now im saving up and i`ll buy a 740iL with 160k km or around there :) ive heard that between 100k-130k KM all the "usual" problmes are fixed.. like radiator, things that happen, not serious though
By djresvon [Affiliate User] 1226182996 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNot in my case.
My EU 1995 740iA now has passed the 350k km and still has the original gearbox, exhausts, kats and the engine has never been rebuilt.
Price of the parts are more than a 3 or 5 series BMW, but not so much more than the average premium German car.
Take in mind this was a car that had a pricetag in 1995 of round 100.000 euros, so it will never be cheap to drive and maintain, but it is really reliable.
Some US M60-engines had troubles with the coating in the cilinders.
i hear from some people that the e38 tends to break pretty often and its expensive to fix. is that true ?

This was a German meeting for all BMW 7-series models. This time there was a try to get a new worldrecord for the longest roling line-up of BMW 7-series ever done.
