Elvis Presley Hurt
Written by Jimmie Craine and Al Jacobs. Elvis recorded it the night of February 5-6, 1976 at Graceland. The single release was a 1,000,000 seller and had an 11-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 chart, peaking at #28; it reached #6 on the Country Chart. It was the A-side to For The Heart. Elvis sang this song live on Elvis in Concert, and a live version is available on that CD. The studio version of the song is available on Walk a Mile in My Shoes-The Essential 70s Masters, From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee, and Moody Blue, which is where this version is from.

I'm so hurt
To think that you lied to me
I'm hurt way down deep inside of me
You said our love was true
And wed never, never part
Now you want someone new
And it breaks my heart

Oooh, I'm hurt,
Much more than you'll ever know
Yes darling, I'm so hurt
Because I still love you so

Aahh, but even though you hurt me
Like nobody else could ever do
I would never ever hurt you
Yeahh you, nooo you
Noooooo
