Shadow, the Talking Cougar

S**t , I hate this kind of news. Damn, why can't animals live as long as us. So freaking sad and it always makes me feel so depressed. Thank you so much for giving these cats a chance at a wonderful life! I love animals so much and it hurts when I hear and see that they have passed. I just wish God would have allowed them the same lifespan we enjoy.

I met a man with a cougar on a long chain in a rest area along the highway.He said it could jump up on his roof from the ground.

RIP Shadow.

I don't know how I missed this video when it first came out, but I'm glad I saw it.
I hope Sugar doesn't get too lonely.
I know what it's like to lose a soul mate. Animals may grieve differently than humans, but I believe they can still connect w/ others of their species and be "sad" when their mate passes away.

As I cry and cry and cry, all the cats are grieving. Shadow was one of a kind as they all are. He was a favorite with all the female cats in the sanctuary. He always talked. What a different world we have because Shadow shared his life with us. Sugar has truly lost a soul mate. Light and Love, Shadow.

Thanks Julie....Shadow our talkative and beautiful boy left us on his own terms for a better place. Now our cubs who have learned to talk will share their conversations with Sugar in her new solitude.

Great video Julie. What a handsome boy Shadow was. Thank you and BCR for all the hard work you guys do to give rescued captive cats the best life they can have. Poor sugar, I hope she does ok. Shadow may be gone, but his legacy will live on!

This is sad, but I'm happy that these cats had great people taking care of them, I wish big cats could live longer than they do; what is the average lifespan of a Cougar?

Give my best to Sugar. Shadow was one of a kind and Bridget and myself will never forget his squeaky way of saying "i am here" whenever we walked around after hours.

Thanks Julie. I cried my eyes out. When a big cat dies, I can usually console myself that they are now free, but the others they leave behind cannot be consoled. -Carole-
