  • If only people ...

If only people could listen even past the comedy at the realistic point of view George has on the world. Not only a very funny man, but also very correct and even equal. The gravity of his points of view should transcend the comedy and people, together, should really listen. It's not about liking his comedy, it's about waking the F up and realizing our short-comings as a society. George Carlin's material will hold up over time and someday, we'll all be saying, "wow, he was right."

  • I have been ...

I have been listening to George for years, and upon hearing his standup, I'm the one laughing. It was great to hear real laughter coming from him, you know? I don't think I've ever heard George's real gut laughter before, and it sincerely put a smile on my face.

Life is less vibrant without George Carlin.

  • Because we can. ...

Because we can. It's why we're doomed and why it won't stop. Because we can. Because we can destroy anything that offends or scares or worries or sounds weird. We could always do it, but now we can do it on a stage, with indignation and outrage.

And it's funny. That's what's so hilarious about it. It's always been going on but now we have the cameras watching. Better than cable. Heh.

And I know if I got a chance to talk to Carlin before he went, damn if I wouldn't be wagging my tail too.

  • Too bad this ...

Too bad this interview wasn't done in XM. Also, it's slighthly nauxiating the way Opie, Anthony and Jim Norton are so obviously wagging their tails in admiration. Granted, if that's to be done, George Carlin is an excellent source...

"When you're born into this world, you're born into a freakshow.
When you're born in America you have a front-row seat. And some of us have notebooks."
What a qute! Long live George Carlin
