I watched local channels (ABC, WTTW?)
in school. I think in my class was probably ABC, downstairs it was definitely ABC...

I was working for a small newspaper in the town I live in when this happened. It was a crazy and horrible day

Remember on August 10, 2008, which was one month ago, a similar disaster rocked Toronto, Canada but this time it was the Sunrise Industrial Propane Gases facility that hit by a major blast and fire. You must have heard this story in New York City, United States back on August 10 2008.

i do remember reports of an explosion outside the White House.

It is amazing to see this...it makes me think of other horrifying events in human history and how similar some of the people could have reacted. Like when Nero blamed the christians for the burning of Rome and all the Crusifictions, or when the Mongolians invaded Iraq (I do not recall the original name) Or to even jump centurires ahead and think of the invasion of Russia and the horrifying seiges of Stalingrad and Leningrad.

My wife asks me why I watch it, and its about how the media covered the biggest story since Pearl Harbor or the assassination of JFK.

Also, it does make me remember that no matter what, we must stay in Afghanistan and put Al Qaeda and the Taliban on their knees.

I'm leaving Iraq out of this discussion.

I agree! no one will not ever forget where they were when this horrible day happened! I just can't stop watching this and think about the victims lost!

One week before this unfolded, I was inside the WTC, taking in the beautiful view from the observation deck. I watched this all unfold from New Jersey. So F**king surreal.

haha at 4:06 they say that president bush was reading the children a book. yea that never happened haha bush was listening to the teacher read him a book cause he's a monkey. lol other than that this was a crazy day. i'll never forget those pictures. It's weird cause it's something that everyone in our country shares. we all saw it. crazy man. peace and love.
