George Noory interviews Robert Temple about his book The Sirius Mystery and the Dogon tribe of Mali.

According to anthropological studies, the Dogon Tribe of Africa developed a religion based on the Sirius star system and were aware of Sirius B (a companion star that can't be seen with the naked eye) as well as a third star in that system which wasn't confirmed by astronomers until 1995, nearly 20 years after Temple wrote about it in his book.

The Dogons believed that beings from a planet in the Sirius system came to Earth in the distant past, landing in a place where their ancestors came from (Temple suggested that this was probably Egypt). These ETs were slimy, air-breathing aquatic creatures that had fish-like tails and arms without elbows, and he noted that similar beings have also been described in ancient China, Greece, and Sumeria. The Dogons said that when the ETs were here, a new star appeared in the sky that disappeared after they left. Temple surmised that this was likely their orbiting mothership.

Years ago, I had heard of this remarkable tribe, with their existing memories of their ancient Sirius connection, but I lost track of them.

Now here it again! Thank you geneofisis for posting it, and to my special friend for sharing it. :)

  • When heard the ...

When heard the white man attempt to explain where the Dogon come from, I laughed to myself because the Robert Temple doesn't really know where HE comes from. So how can he tell you the origins of an indigenous African tribe??? Africans are Adam and whites are nothing more than derivatives of derivatives of a hybrid man.

    Thank you.

    cont-

they fucked up not because of a the situation of their surroundings, but because they were emulating what they thought was "cool and black".

and unfortunately this new phenomina is generated mostly from Rap, and of course im not talking about real mental hip hop like the Roots,Black star,etc..

and the "its how life is, im just reporting it" defense for generating this image is fading as no one believes that the "hood" is like a giant 24 strip club; cause that is what gets reported

i would aggree with you to a point

i believe personaly that the legal system is in some area's designed to hinder minorities/impoverished classes.(i lump to two together because they are often afflicted by the same difficulties)

but you could also argue that the main stream african american culture has a hand in it in more modern times.

i had 2 black friends growing up who both got locked up for breaking and entering. neither were poor(both actually much better off than me) cont-

  • The difference is, ...

The difference is, one has more justification than the other. You can see an identifiable trend of events that would make more blacks getting caught stealing, doing drugs,...etc a somewhat obvious outcome.

However, the racism displayed by whites over the last 400 years lacks reasonable justification. It can even be reasoned that the stealing, drugs, rapings are a result of this racism. What other race of people has had laws written against them?

I call it how I see it.

    cont.

which of course is a step in the wrong direction.

this is the problem with language, it breeds stereotypes. it is allmost impossible for us in our current evolutionary stage to not apply stereotypes.

so it is rarely ever appropreate to apply such blanket claims unless it is profoundly true like " the republican party has more self identified racist supporters than the democratic party" you can support this with actuall evidence.

well im not sure as to what post your replying to of mine so i will respond the best i can.

"a racist statement with decades of merit"

that is a blind allowence for racism on your part

a police officer say 2 decades on the force, could say "black people like to steal,do drugs,R**e , etc..."

and according to you his statement wouldn't be "racist" if he has decades of experience to support it, because the evidence would give it merit.
