Combat Tai Chi

If I make no mistake, tai chi was invented during a time when martial arts were forbidden in china, hundred years ago.

That's why it doesn't look like a martial art.

Btw, it can be practiced in a 9m2 prison cell.

most of it is for like a recreational purpose to get old people moving cuz there isnt rough and abrupt movement, but once u learn the absics and know how to apply them it can be a fighting art... most people dont have the dedication to train for years on end before they can actually use it to fight... martial arts are a thing of the past... no one really practice it once u have guns...

Yeap, the recreation taiqiquan is NOT the same as combative taiqiquan which involves hitting pressure points and dislocating joints like they teach in the upper levels of the wudang shcool... don't think those grandmas and grandpas are the "real" stuff... to a degree it is but lacks the combative aspect

Without significant martial character go call it something else.
