This quick video is to demonstrate how one would take the Windows 7 DVD image (ISO) and copy the setup files so that one can install Windows 7 via a USB flash drive. I used this process to install Win 7 on my new Acer Aspire One Netbook. All hardware was detected flawlessly BTW. Very quick. Very pleased.

    Did you install windows 7 starter edition or premium ? I just got an acer netbook on black friday at The Shack aka (Radio Shack) and it came with Windows vista basic edition but I want to upgrade it to Windows 7. The model i s ao751h -ZA3, intale atom z520, 256 HDD, 2gig RAM.

    does it matter that I am using a dvd of windows 7 to copy the files to my usb stick instead of a mounted image? I attempted this install and it failed with missing file errors during the install...
    currently starting again with a fresh format and seeing if it was just a copying error.
