It pretty much just has cosmetic touches but I think if they just brought Holden to America, people would be skeptical. Holden is a great company and I'll admittedly say it's annoying how they call it American muscle. I guess you can't expect much. Since GM owns them, they take all the credit.

what do you mean base the car off of? it's exactly the same as the commodore inside and out except for the front bar and badges.

i love this car. looks good outside and inside. definitely give credit to the australians for this one. thats why the interior is clean with nice materials instead cheap plastic we see too much here in the states from the big three. car looks lean and aggressive. i like the aussies taste.

GM is an American corporation and they own Holden. They just utilized their resources because American cars tastes are becoming better. The Holden is an excellent car to base an American performance sedan off of and they chose Pontiac because it would pay to update their image and Pontiac is a company American people are familiar with. It's called "strategic marketing".

There will be a six-speed manual offered on the GXP as well as the six-speed automatic.

A stick shift manual isn't available because THEY DON'T F**kING SELL. Oh sure, once in a while someone buys a manual, but the ratio is so big it isn't worth a co. like Pontiac offering it. Yes, we hear "big men" saying BS in the show room like, "Oh, I wanted the manual, but my wife can't drive a stick!" So, Mr. Bigshot who talked a big game about getting a manual (sound like anybody you know?)buys the car with the automatic....

You can save the $1,000 from in-dash navigation and buy a Garmin Streetpilot or Nuvi which are MUCH better.

that's why European drivers end up in ditches and going into rivers...because they put all their trust into the nav instead of reading the road signs

I agree friend, but over there you have the vauxhall (or something like that) and it is almost the same as this pontiac. I would buy this car in black.

I drive a BMW 3 Series but I have never tested a Pontiac. It might be powerful, but in Europe almost everyone has a nav system. That car would not be successful here if they don't even OFFER navigation!
