How to cook Filipino/Pinoy Style Spaghetti, in a recipe that I got from my mother in law, Linda Florese.

Important: Don't replace Banana Ketchup with Tomato Ketchup because it WON'T be the same.

  • I forgot to say ...

I forgot to say thank you for the video. I do not enjoy cooking. It is particularly difficult to get access to local ingredients here in the boondocks of upstate New York. The Oriental grocery 50 miles away has some Filipino goods (bottled goods, canned goods and packets of instant mixes) but they are priced at understandably (because of travel) but shockingly high prices. Fresh vegetables and fruits are impossible to find. I have yet to taste spaghetti cooked the Filipino way.

  • Why is there a need ...

Why is there a need to boil the ground pork and ground beef in water? Why can one not saute and brown the meat directly in the pan? If the water is discarded, nutrients are thrown out, too.
