If you say so, however I find it hard to believe anything relating to Babylon 5 could have come from star wreck. As I say - spliced.

They've been sliced together from B5 and Star Trek to see just who would win against the Star Trek Feds and B5 Earth Alliance. It's quite a good clip actually, and I love how they all seem real and follows the music score of the clip.

Antimatter does exist, it has been created in particle accelerators, and yes, it has been successfully contained in powerful magnetic fields. That much of it is genuine science, and not science fiction.

The science fiction part is "dilithium" crystals as a means of facilitating a reaction between matter and antimatter.

I'm a journalist, so I don't put much emphasis on things in science fiction until they are proven. As you say, it 'could' be magnetically contained, but until the proper research is done and we know for sure, it's ever only going to be science fiction, to me, sorry.

It's like in the series - it could be electromagnetically contained. But yes, if the containment goes out, just like in the show, the antimatter escapes, and when it combines with regular matter, the two react and you get a lovely blast of gamma radiation and neutrinos.

Yes, I have heard of it existing, but it is also highly unstable, and there isn't any way (for now) to contain it, not just what its destructive power can be. One mistake and it's good-bye.

Antimatter exists. Granted, right now we can only make it one subatomic particle at a time. But combine matter and antimatter, and you get loads of energy. e = mc^2.
Convert just a kilogram of matter to pure energy, and you could vaporize part of a city.

Bullshit, but ill admit, that the Whitestars could put up a great fight, but Earthforce could never deafeat the Federation. If it was just Star trek vs B5, i could agree that the vorlons or shadows could beat the Federation, but not even thase two races can stand up against the Borg, or Species 8472.

That's because Star Trek is based solely on fantasy - energy shields can't last like they do on Star Trek, without needing a huge amount of power, and no source in the universe exists today like "Dylithium" to make that possible.

If that was a real battle, even the combined might of Star Wars, Babylon 5 & BattleStar Galactica couldnt stand up to the Federation Fleet. The Federation has better technology, more ships, and some of the most kick ass captians ever.

I agree with justin. Federation ships can beat the crap out of babylon ships. Also battlestar galactica ships. I have no doubt they can clobber star wars ships either, but i don't think they're faster. By the way , It was really cool!!!

One sovereign starship with 2 defiants and an Intrepid class starship would take out that whole babylon 5 fleet hands down. They have shields, phased weaponry, torpedoes, and much better damage control redundancy systems, and inertial dampeners, for pete's sake. I know this was for fun, and was very cool to watch , I just want people to get it straight that the federation would kick the crap out of babylon 5. There, I'm done being a geek. see ya

yes i think too ships of star trek especially like sovereign class are stronger than ships in all other scifi mov/series. Well.. ok.. there is one stronger... the Star Wars Death Star^^ (but thats more station than ship)

And if you can take anything of star wars you kick ass of everything in any other scifi. Im saying just one character: Q^^

why do people think that the babylon 5 w"universe" would defeat the "Star trek " Universe? b-5 use lasers... trek used fucused differentially phased energy... no contest. plusb05 weapons where designed to cut threw hulls. trek was designed to explode on impact, causing more damage.

of course i could be wrong.

but still, trek weapons would win. and with the sheilds....

I think these scenes were from some Trek Parody made in europe. It's shot in Dutch or something. The humor doesn't translate very well so I could never get into it.
