I think gibson had plenty of people playing their stuff without him, people are that stupid tho, they think if they have a mando like his they can play like him..dont work..lol

Yea, it was so "valuable" that he scraped the finish off it with a piece of glass, dug the Gibson name out of the headstock, and broke a chunk off the headstock.....lol

I will be honest with you, I would have been upset too if I sent my extremely valuable instrument in for a refret, and instead they refinished it, and added a bunch of extra stuff.
That being said, Ole Bill Monroe sold a lot of Mandolins for Gibson.

After the fit he threw years earlier when Gibson worked on his mando, they should have told him to stick it up his ass.

Even got smashed into thousands of pieces by a vandle. He sent it back to Gibson in a Garbage bag, along with another one that got smashed and they pieced it back together. Its amazing they were able to put it back together and it still sound good.

Wow, great version! Southern Flavor and Jerusalem Ridge are probably my 2 favorite bluegrass instrumentals. (always hard to pick favorites, with so many good ones to choose from)
