    I will be honest with you, I would have been upset too if I sent my extremely valuable instrument in for a refret, and instead they refinished it, and added a bunch of extra stuff.
    That being said, Ole Bill Monroe sold a lot of Mandolins for Gibson.

    Even got smashed into thousands of pieces by a vandle. He sent it back to Gibson in a Garbage bag, along with another one that got smashed and they pieced it back together. Its amazing they were able to put it back together and it still sound good.
