Byrne was a marketing genius, but you are seeing this thru a material perspective. Calling it "The Secret" drew in many inquisitive minds that might otherwise have passed by a film called "The Law of Attraction Explained".

Furthermore, "Secret" refers to something which has been hidden from the masses in general: I don't think many people on the street will have heard of Seth, but by now they may have heard tell of a "secret"....

Hi to remark about parisian327 comment, when the books Seth put out back then or many other books similiar to those maybe the time wasn't right! I feel now is the right time for many more souls! Pierre

The Seth Material, The Seth Teachings, which Jane Roberts and her husband Robert Butts channeled and then that specific knowledge was then transfered and related to others through a series of books and classes helped familarize the world with the Seth awareness, the Seth material, which isn't the same as the Abraham teachings, not at all, it would be like comaparing apples to oranges, there are distinct differences between the two.

Well sure they are alike, and I guess there will be many more that will have the exact same thing to say in different ways. The ultimate thing is that they are all just small steps being taken to awaken our true self... And if there is anyone not interested in the dollar sign, it is Abraham - Ester Hicks, okie? they just want us to be ready

Does anyone remember the Seth books? Seth said the point of power is always in the present. Very similar to Abraham and others. I think its good if it helps people, but various new age gurus are repeating the same idea over and over in a slightly different way. Nothing really new here. I read Thomas Troward and other oldies who have in essence written about the same thing. Some people are making a lot of money from this. Byrne calling the technique a secret was pure marketing genius.
