This set of Aurora Borealis Northern Lights photos were taken by myself near Terrace BC Canada on the 3rd and 4th day after an X-17 solar flare on Sept/07/2005.
It was the 4th largest solar flare on record.
Sorry the photos are a little grainy (I compressed them)
Taken with a Canon A-70 iso 200 8-15 sec.
(Lost lake) near Terrace British Columbia Canada.
Song is "You're My World" by Joe Satriani.
pheew thats stunning i live in northern england but have never seen them possibly due to light pollution im gonna get my comfy shoes on and walk to canada to see em though i might get damp on the way

By redshift40 [Affiliate User] 1201783945 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI can see how that applies to the UFO phenomenon but not for Aurora or Tornadoes. Sorry I took it the wrong way.
By redshift40 [Affiliate User] 1201762037 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLike the original poster said "not pointing fingers at you" I was just commenting, that I find that %95 of UFO's seen are blurry. Because if they zoom in or out then most will see its probably a star, planet, or recognizable object.
By tjsage79 [Affiliate User] 1201716159 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedude... amazing... joe satriani is amazing, and you are one lucky person to get to see the aurora borealis in person....I live in kansas so no chance for me.
keep it real!
What the hell are you guys talking about...fuzzy, unfocused cameras? It is fast moving particals from the sun, what do you expect a close up of a photon being split...geesh. Put your tinfoil hats back on.
By redshift40 [Affiliate User] 1201665691 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveExactly, I feel they keep things fuzzy for a reason. Because them we would all see what it is and become very dissapointed
By tjsage79 [Affiliate User] 1201643262 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI love the lights, especially when they are full of colour, dance and sing. Great pictures!
By sassikatt [Affiliate User] 1199615071 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSkies of touching beauty, truly mesmerising. Would i like to witness this myself someday! Btw. i might have to reconsider my opinion about Satriani, didn't know he also had soulful chops ;-)
By DG320 [Affiliate User] 1198885693 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethat was amazing ur soo lucky to have been there in person and experince that.. =)
By xx2121xx [Affiliate User] 1197663966 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewish I could live there.
These videos... not pointing fingers at you but as a whole when it comes to Tornadoes and twisters and northern lights they are always taken with unfocused video cameras as if trained by UFO buffs who learned to always keep things fuzzy.
There is a short video on my page of the auroura in real time. I have a better one I will post soon.
