Here are this weeks top stories:

- Almost 2 million people filled the National Mall in washington DC to witness Barack Obama become the first African American President of the United States. Festivities continued into the evening with several inaugural balls which featured performances from the likes of Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Jay Z and Mary J Blige.

- Notorious grossed $21.5million on its opening weekend despite a limited theatre release. A theatre in greensboro north carolina, where actor jamal woolard was in attendance has banned the movie after a man was shot twice on saturday night.

- Just to help put things into perspective in 2002 8Mile grossed $51million in its opening weekend.

- The New York post reported Jamal Woolard is due in court for a domestic violence incident from last year where he slapped his wife.

- On Wednesday Lil Wayne cancelled another concert in Rochester. This is the 3rd time in four months, his people blame the logistics of trying to get to Calgary for thursday. he has promised to reshedule the show for march.

- The latest development in the Saigon and Joe Budden beef is a twitter message from Just Blaze confirming that the two mcs have spoken on the phone. http://twitter.com/themegatrondon
