  • Let's hope that you ...

Let's hope that you avoid death - which is what "god intended" for literally millions of women and babies during childbirth before these kinds of medical interventions were introduced. As for your witterings about "stopping to think how this feels for the child", you desperately need to get a grip of yourself

  • If had a partner in ...

If had a partner in labour for 24 hrs without another alternative to give birth. This method of delivery is a gift from God that man kind can achieve this style of delivery. More people survive this way. How do you know there is not a legitimate reason for this c section. IDIOT Christian!

  • This is just SO ...

This is just SO horrible. Do the women that opt to do it this way simply out of fear (no good surgical or medical reason) ever stop to think about how this feels for the CHILD? It is SO unnatural and lazy and if its not absolutely necessary and I will do everything I can to successfully give birth to my child naturally, the way god intended.

  • its true alot of ...

its true alot of doctors force c-sections. I believe its practiced more in the usa than anywhere else. I was induced with pictocin and laboured for 2 days, the only time they were opting for c-section was if I didnt deliver soon because the baby's heart rate was dropping. I did deliver natural in the end though with a small episiotomy.

  • That just isn't ...

That just isn't true. Baby's are delivered breech all the time, just not in American hospitals. Doctors in this country opt for the convenience of a c-section far more often than is truly necessary. Call it an "emergency c-section" and no mother in heavy labor is going to protest or ask questions. Breech babies, twins, cord wrapped around the neck...all can be born naturally. I'll have my babies at home, thanks.

  • Actually, we have ...

Actually, we have the HIGHEST infant mortality rate of any civilized country and it's BECAUSE doctors aren't giving women the chance to have their babies naturally. And before you say I'm against sections, of course I'm not. Both of my children were born via section. However, I only agree with sections when they're medically necessary. Unfortunately, 30% of births are done surgically, and that's unacceptable. Do some research.

  • sindiwe, imagine ...

sindiwe, imagine this...you are 20 weeks pregnant. You go into preterm labor, water breaks and everything. The doctors manage to stop the contractions. You are in the hospital being monitered constantly and on bed rest. Then at 24 weeks, you go into labor again. This time, they cannot stop it, as an infection in your uterus has settled in.

it has to be. a CS is needed if the baby or the mother is at risk. such as cord coil, fetal distress, wrong presentation, death in the utero. The doctor will order a Cs if there is an indication for that.

I never said that I am against c-sections. I am against the fact that so many woman who don't need c-sections opt for this procedure. Of course, if it's an emergency then it is a different story....

  • are you saying that ...

are you saying that you are against c-sections? Because if you are, I just wanted to say that at least today we don't have as many women dying in this country tx to all of the medecine. As many as 1 out of 7 women die in childbirth in Afghanistan.
    thank god for out c-sections.

sindiwe, imagine the baby didn't 'turn' on the belly of his mother... do u think legs will come out first?! to NOT KILL THE BABY, is has to be caesarian. And it's just an example.
