    It's not the speed itself... What is amazing is how this car can handle it. Makes 400 km/h look easy. And it's road legal. VW made it as a car engineering exercise but the final quality was that good, that they decided to produce it in limited edition. It seems that the very high demand for this car led vw to upgrade its production. I think that german car engineering is the best on Earth. I'm italian though, we have Fiat :o)

    crowzrule23 u are an idiot it is 100% street legal in all countries. it is not a concept, it was a limited production vehicle from Bugatti with it's parent Volkswagen. However this is no longer the worlds fastest Production vehicle the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is. However in terms of engineering wonder the Veyron is far superior with a W-16 engine quad turbocharged producing 1001 horsepower. The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is only a V8 twin turbocharged producing 1183 horsepower. Those are the facts.
