    Yes they do, but they dont turn on because of airbag deployment, they turn on because the car senses a collision. Also the fuel pump is turned off automatically.

    what a difference seven years make. with the orig freelander the amount of damage was horrendous & went well into the driver. the new one is just incredible. the passenger cell never even budged an inch. the engine bay absorb all of the crash impact. i'd definitely get myself onf these.
