  • Yeah and if he did ...

Yeah and if he did use a big stick on those assholes, I totally support it 100% of the way. Punishment now is too lenient. We need a man like Buford Pusser and I also am pro death penalty. I also support the war!!!!!!!!!!!

  • These movies were ...

These movies were entertaining and great fun to watch but they were no where close to being factual. Many people believe Pusser was part of the problem at the state line, not part of the solution. Decide for yourself. Go to yahoo groups and find the group called crimemyths. Examine the photos, records and documents there that tell the story. They even have a few of the people who "lived the story" that post there. Again, go to yahoo groups and find the group crimemyths.

  • The first film was ...

The first film was no where close to 85 % true. Pusser had help when he knocked over the club with his "big stick". Jerry Wright and Marvin King Jr helped Buford beat up W.O. Hathcock and it was King, not Pusser that used the "stick". I have interviewed people who said Pusser took payoff's from the state liners, moonshiners and bootleggers. Pusser certainly WAS intoxicated when he died in the wreck. NONE of the movies are even close to the 60% true or factual as you or Dwana state.

  • True. But the ...

True. But the small-budget films were the first to go to VHS. When we first got a VCR in 1983, most of the titles in the video store were old drive-in/grindhouse movies:
Italian horror films, Spanish horror films, shockumentaries, Eurosleaze, Roger Corman films, and other films that had only small-channel release.

A lot of them disappeared once the mainstream flicks became easier to purchase in bulk.
But thanks to DVD, all of the drive-in and grindhouse films are making a comeback.

  • I think the first ...

I think the first film had a better story and script. However Bo Svenson was better in his portrayal as Buford and yes Buford and Bo look a lot alike. The First film was about 85% true as in Dwana Pusser's own words. The Second and Third film were about 60% true.

  • Trooper Paul Earvin ...

Trooper Paul Earvin is the officers name who filed the report. He would not be able to omit such a detail like that. Buford was not drunk. Upon inspection of his vehicle the investigators said his tie rod was split. Allthough they didnt speculate and just ruled it a traffic fatality. In reality Buford was murdered. - Tie Rods bend but they dont split. Also Buford never lost control of a vehicle ever except one time when he fell asleep. Buford was def murdered.

Not only that but place a picture of Buford and Bo side by side and you''ll see Bo almost exactly looks like Pusser.
