if you choose SPLIT, and your opponent STEALS, you only ever expected to get 50% of the jackpot, and have only 'lost' 50%

if you both STEAL, you both look like fools who have tried to outwit each other, and have each expected to get 100% of the jackpot, but have both LOST 100% haha
