if we are SO not multicultural, then why, unlike most cities in the world, we have more than just one ethnic neighbourhood? we have 2 chinantows, 2 koreatown, 2 little italy, greektown, little portugal, india, spain, jewish town, to name a few. and why do we celebrate SO MUCH ethnic celebrations? And why is it that when I walk into a cafeteria or food court, it feels like I walked into the United Nations because we re SO DIVERSED? tell me, tell me please. we ARE a multicultural city.

The econimcal situation in Toronto does not allow us to continue paying for massive social programs, like English speaking schools, welfare cheques for life to Jamaican mamas, etc. Toronto has spent so much money catering to the needs of immigrants (and imported crime), that it had to close almost all swimming pools. Yes, we are broke from catering to the needs of imports.

Fortunately I go back here very often, and when I do come back I noticed that when I was living here I didn't realize how lucky I was to have everything in this city. (subway, huge population, diversity, recreational activities, safety...tall buildings/downtown/queen st. etc) Now that I live in Calgary I understand how lucky I was to live in Toronto

;) I think that people: black, white and all of them are very friendly.
It's cool, but it's no London! I would like to go to Toronto someday though - it looks cool
