  • Nice video, the ...

Nice video, the futurenergy pmg is from china same as renewable (they all are) may look like a brake drum but are steel stamped drum & cast& machined aluminium, by the way if you want pmg to last a decent time arrange some damp sealing (gets behind prop boss and rusts/seizes the bearing).

  • First thanks 4 ...

First thanks 4 sharing a wealth of info -I dig it!
How exactly do you get the turbine to spin round freely while still connected to the tower? Would you mind making a short clip explaining that? Are you using bearings, I am confused - was that a vertical bearing...Thanx mate

The Government has announced that microgeneration technologies will from April 2008 become permitted development. This means householders will be able to take up microgeneration, within sensible limits, without having to apply for planning permission.

  • 3 phase ac power ...

3 phase ac power exits the generator first then moves to the rectifier which changes it to dc then it moves to the brushes then down the pole to the battery's to charge.up to 50 amps so need large brushes to transfer current.
thicker wire = less loss as low voltage.

  • I like the design ...

I like the design of te brushes, I have been trying to make my own ! try to minimize the number of contacts, the rectifier assembly could be hooked up before the brushes, apparently you have it hook up after the brushes, therefore you are using more brushes than you need. But it looks like good work anyway.
