Um, I see this works for the router but will this work if you use a wireless connection on a desktop trying to steal someone elses connection? My dad shut me off from the family router and I can pick up my neighbors but it's a small signal. Could I use this to boost the signal?
you can use a hole puncher

The real way is to get a large conductive metal object (an oil can will do), solder/attach tightly a wire on it, remove the router's antenna and plug the other end of the wire instead. then you place your antenna where you get the least ammount of obstacles between the antenna and the devices that'll connect to it.
actually, simply putting your router on a place with few obstacles between it and the devices might be already more effective than putting a metal sheet around it.
it was funny when you said damn cherrios
