I've very rarely seen such a strong performance as Angelina's in Gia. I totally believe that the character was really close to Angelina because of the emotion and the nergy she put in it. I'm still so amazed!!

yeah i totally agree, plus to know addiction doesn't necessarily mean you have suffered from it, it could be a family member of friend and you saw the impact.
i think maybe at 1:01 when she hides her arms a bit, the bottom of her arms i think subconscienciously that may have something to do with her self-harm experiences
