Found this nice gold nugget from the 24K Gold Hunters Club pushes. The gold nugget was approx. 8 inches down on bedrock. I was using the Minelab GPX-4500 Metal Detector and Coiltek Lightweight Goldstalker 14-inch Mono Searchcoil.

Happy Hunting,

  • Hey Guys, ...

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the comments. The nugget was probably valued at around $20 - 30 US dollars. Nothing huge, but they add up quickly when you're finding them. Keep in mind, there are a lot more smaller gold nuggets than larger, so having a good metal detector such as a Minelab PI will help you find not only the big ones deeper, but the smaller ones which are like the "beans and bacon" of metal detecting.

    Take care!
