  • It will help to ...

It will help to some degree. It works because as you pull the string tight your muscles applying the upwards force stop the camera from shaking downwards, the string stops it shaking up.

Its always easier to hold something steady if you have something to push/pull the object against rather than trying to keep it hovering in one place. So this alone will help reduce shake in the other directions.

Brilliant, I'll need to try it sometime. It also helps greatly to have image stabilization on your camera or lens.

Well, of course a tripod is better, but if you have nothing to support yourself or the camera, this is better than nothing. Just don't let the washer go, or it'll come up and smash your lens/hit you in the face :).

I doubt it helps... but it's too cheap not to try it out :)
It's also good to control your breath while shooting, especially with long lenses. There are countless ways of reducing camera shake... tripods, monopods, optical/sensor stabilizers, bean bags, numerous techniques of holding the camera, breath control... and now this :)
I'll see if it changes anything, thanks for the video ;)

MrManiac300, I bet tripods are better, the comparison seems funny to me. But they don't fit my pocket :P
