  • Please, you are ...

Please, you are missing the true message of Christ Jesus, if you indulge in questioning "what is the true Church".
The Church is in you and all Christians, and you are His temple, if you confess and believe in His (Jesus Christ) Holy Name.
Jesus suffered, died and is Risen. God Loved men and women so much He sent His only Son. No religion can steal your salvation, Protestant or Catholic.
Repent and believe, please don't let the religions of man destroy your free grift from God Almighty.

  • Thanks Sandy I just ...

Thanks Sandy I just see Jesus asking that same question to us in these last days. Trinitarians will tell you he is God made flesh which is in error. The bible plainly states what God is. He is a Spirit that no man has seen at any time. Who hung on that cross was the "Christ the Son of the living God" like Peter said. I just think that with all the Father Son Holy Ghost misinterpretation going on over the years that Jesus was trying to tell us something here.God had a Son and He was not that Son.

  • To zeek827; in ...

To zeek827; in answer to the first line in your post, "gates of hell will not prevail against peter?" pretty much, yes.

"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you (all), that he might sift you (all) like wheat, but I have prayed for you (Peter) that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." Luke 22:31-32.
I added "all" and "Peter" to distinguish what the original Greek meant when it said "you" in each case.

    Peace & Love in Christ.
    Sandy

  • "Get your nose out ...

"Get your nose out of the books´" Like "stop studying the Bible"?! The rock upon Christ's Church was built was Peter, he wa sthe one given the keys of authority. I.e. without the Church with the Pope as Vicar, you are outside the Church Christ himself established: no way a Protestant can claim beign truly born again while rejecting Apostolic Succession ;) The Bible is with me here.

  • so you are saying ...

so you are saying those gates of hell will not prevail against peter. Come on whats the subject matter here. Get your nose out of the books and let the Father reveal to you the same truth he did to peter. The revealation of Jesus Christ. Revealation from that Spirit of truth as Jesus calls Him in John 17 something we've forgotten about when we study.

  • sandy sandy sandy ...

sandy sandy sandy that Rock Jesus was refering to was not peter as all you cathloics may presume. It was the revealation he got from God concerning who Jesus was was the rock that the chuch is built apon. Notice a short time later how Peter preached on the day of Pentecost and baptised people in the Name of Jesus Christ not the heathen trinitarian way in father son holy ghost titles... Thats the Rock the Rock was never Peter or the pope or Mary
