Neurons-How They Work-Human Brain

Is this video available on DVD? I love the graphics. They really tell the story well. Compared to Sister Sharon the Science nazi. She was always going on about Neurons and Molecules.

I heard that the number of connections per nuron was more towards 80,000 give or take some alot more than that. I get the general piont of the video though. The brain is a magnificent machine.

Also, Bulbadox, have you published a paper on your research or are you referring to just like personal research? If so, can you please link to it so I can read in more depth what you mean by a 'central flow'. We've known and experimentally shown that the brain is segmented and different parts will control different emotions/reactions. That has been proven time and time again.

We must simplify these laws governing the universe because I don't believe we will ever grasp it completely. Being an engineer, I can tell you that those big jets are pretty advanced, but I will agree with you we haven't made much advancement in the field or aeronautics as far as airplanes go nearly as much as we have on semiconductor design. Not all science is subjected to moores law.

Well those simple laws aren't very simple. Let me refer you to any quantum physics text book. Those laws apply to everything that acts in nature, another we use approximations for most things in the macroscopic world which is appropriate, the fundamental law behind it is, in my view, unattainable for humans.

Well, I study cryptology - I write encryption algorithms for commercial software, anyway during my research I have discovered that mind just acts as a central grid for the flow of data rather than the storage bank for memories or thoughts. The problem with scientific research is that they complicate simple laws that govern the nature. Man badly wanted to fly so he attached big jets to aluminum sheets and tried to replicate the action of birds, I wouldn't call that as advanced science.

I am a Electrical Engineer that does research on artificial intelligence. I love coming to a point in my project in which I don't understand something (that means it's new!), but that absolutely doesn't mean I can throw away all my research up into that point.

If you explore any subject of reality you will eventually get to a point where we aren't sure how it works. But that doesn't mean everything that got us to that point is invalid. And if that were true, then you wouldn't be able to post that message because the complex unpredictable nature of the quantum physics in your computer.

yup,, this video is so cool,i'm trying to understnd about the magnesium n potassium iron being released to the receptor...maybe tht is the key to enhance out neuron in the reception process,dunno,,tht is only a theory.

lol I am not religious. But I do believe in God as he didn't create any religions. i've seen the truth, during my research I've discovered that brain is just a central grid for the signals to flow. But being a mere channel for the flow of data it does not create a whole personality. For example: for a blub to glow it requires a wiring system and a source, the brain works the same way.
