  • Dir en grey is ...

Dir en grey is still non screamo Get that through your thick skull. Screamo is just a crappy sub genre anyway. Also, to that one person who said it was metal core, yea thats short for it sucks. Which it doesn't.

Screamo is something that for people who either A, can;t sing use or B, are insecure in their lyrics use. I mean seriously You don't know half of what their saying unless you look it up and the sad thing is most are American speaking English. Also, don't loop this with emo again.

What's the point in starting a discussion and not follow it through? I already know that. I'm just interested in WHY you consider your opinion is right.
Be reasonable, and abolish your negative attitude towards me. I love Dir En Grey, just like you. But every coin has to sides, and you have to be critical.

Sadly, you try to convince us to mean the same as you. Sorry to say, it won't work, not on me. I love this song, and I love all the other songs. It's hard not to love the songs. They are one of the best bands in the world. They make music that can't be compared to other bands...

  • I have my reactions ...

I have my reactions on "pools filled with razorblades". I know it's a story, but it seems to mee that Kyo's repeating a single chapter. I also know that Dir En Gey did this long before this emo/screamo culture boomed. But bands are catching up, an you have to brainstorm into new ideas. like in marketing.

Hmm, it seems most of you haven't met Kyo up close... But still He's doing this because of the world and what it has done to all of us, he's displaying his emotions based on this wicked world and the conflicts we all share, thats what he told me.

  • Do you know what ...

Do you know what he's even saying in this? And if you want a real translation you buy the cd, all their lyrics are there in English. Its like a freakin story man. Difference between this band and every other screamo band is they tell a story, others do not. They just scream every lyric and you can't understand anything, here you know what he's saying so its non typical.

  • Unfortunately, what ...

Unfortunately, what we can learn from music industry is that this songs is a song, which fits "the wide masses", and such songs sells a lot more than higly creative ones.

  • For real? Vocals ...

    For real?
Vocals are not THAT meaningful. What I've experienced during these years of being addicted to this band, I say Dir En Grey have a lot of potential in the technica part. However, meanings are usually different ways of expressing darkness of mankind, even though genres and mood might vary. I would like to see some innovation from Kyo(and a short brake to recover his voice).
True, the instrumental part is not that bad. But it's not very Dir en grey-ish.

  • You'd be surprised ...

You'd be surprised how many are actually doing that. Sure, this song deviates from, say, Vulgar...but the vocals are extremely meaningful. Sure, the guitar, bass, and drums...not the most complicated. But its not that bad -- especially if you're hearing what he's saying.

  • I find it hard to ...

I find it hard to appreciate this song. Firstly, it it's really boring to play it on guitar as well as bass(I don't know about drums yet). Secondly, Dir En Grey is such a creative band. However, this song sounds like any other screamo band.
Now, I do know that Dir En Grey is a lot about emotion, and I agree with that. But how many of you non-japanese, english speaking fans are really looking, analysing and anticipating Kyo's lyrics? And I don't mean flicking through a crappy translation.

  • Yes, music is ( ...

Yes, music is (often) a way of expressing a message or emotion, but don't ever forget,
HiroAkemi82, that if something sounds horrible, it is horrible, message or not. Music is meant to be enjoyed, and dissecting it for meaning is only entertaining if the music is already a work of art.
