This is a 1st generation male Convict x Midas hybrid. Take note of the WHITE markings on HIS belly. This IS a 1.5 inch male. The females have the normal orange/red bellies.

I just noticed the white on them a few days ago. I have a male that is at least 2 inches with the white speckles, but they are not as pronounced.

Also, both males and females are fertile. I have had a pair spawn, but unfortunately they ate the fry around the one week mark after I put a divider in the tank. 8(

    This is a 1.5 inch male Barred Convict x Midas hybrid. Notice the white markings on HIS belly.
    The female hybrids have the Barred Convict orange/red bellies.
    I will try to get a decent vid of a female.
