This is my simple pulse circuit with a bifilar air core coil instead of the solid core coil that I showed in my last few videos. The advantage is that the strong magnet spins easier because it is not attracted to the iron core. I show the circuit running on one AA battery driving my "Saturn Magnet" and powering Maggie.

  • lLidmotor, Simple ...

lLidmotor, Simple and elegant Neomotor! Only 1.5 volts too. Couls you put the rheostat on the base of the transistor to draw less current? You may have mentioned this, but why does a rheostat work better than a regular POT?
Maybe hard to get such a low resistance POT.
Always enjoy your experiments, keep up the fine work.
    Aloha

ZED74--- Oh Ya!! AA magnets are really hard to find. Especially when they are disguised as a battery. lol

  • tpbulle---Yes ...

tpbulle---Yes Maggie can do work but the way you are saying is the wrong way. That makes this a closed loop system and it won't work. If you let Maggie be free --everybody gets along better. I havn't figured yet out how best to put her to work. Having her make light was the easiest way so far. I yelled at her the other day--"Cook dinner"--but she just gave me a blank stare.

  • Nice interesting ...

Nice interesting series of vids. Not to be too niave, but, why couldn't Maggie do some work? There is enough to light her eyes there . Isn't it enough to drive the pulse?
