The great Bob Hoover flies the North American F-100 SuperSabre in its flight test program. The SuperSabre was the first jet capable of Mach 1 speeds in level flight. Bob Hoover crashed in an F-100 due to hydraulic failure and received a broken back in the crash. When he got out of the hospital he climbed in another F-100 and completed his part of the flight test. Bob Hoover is truly an amazing pilot and an amazing man.
