It certainly looks like an oboe, and the song is also called Gabriel's Oboe, so I'd think they would use an oboe, not an English horn.

are you sure its not an english horn? they have similar sound and look the same... its just an english horn is pitched a fifth lower than the oboe

Chloe has a special way of singing directly to you and this song just sends a tsunami of joy through your soul. Katherine Jenkins also has a beautiful warm voice that sends shivers down your spine. Sarah Brightman has a great original but her voice doesn't come through as powerful and entrancing. Yes, David Agew is the oboist and Chloe is "mio babbino caro"

Beautiful, beautiful voice, but whenever she pronounces "t" I cringe. Why? Because she aspirates it too much. Languages like Italian have an unaspirated "t".
