Well, I guess I should have googled it first - there is a Wing Chung School in Beijing (although it seems to have shut down). When I lived there a while ago I met several people who were unable to find any WC in Beijing, and assumed it was still that way.

So, why are they practicing Wing Chung on the Great Wall? Are there any Wing Chung Schools in Northeastern China? Did they ship a Wing Chung school out there just for an authentically Chinese background?

I guess I'll just have to download the whole episode to find out, but at first glance that looks really silly....

You don't have to like WC,VT,WT.However in chinese character there is one spelling.If you doubt its effectiveness,GO find a good WC person and fight with him,If he is good he should be able to control myself."TO FEEL IS BELIEVE" :)

A person who tries to hurt another is a sign of a low level practitioner with self esteem issues.If you are using the WC principle correctly,you can easily shut down the person on the first beat.

I know lots of Wing Chun Guys that who be happy to cross hands with anyone including Myself.However i don't believe that "My Style is too deadly crap.If the person is really good at it he/she should have a level of control and still get their point across.

Hey, do you have the source where you claim Bruce says Wing Chun is "unnefective?" .. I have an entire interview where Bruce claims Wing Chun Gung Fu is one of the best martial arts.

I don't think anyone knows what you're aiming at with this comment. Try to be more specific. I'm assuming you're saying WC doesn't teach a side step, if so, you're wrong. Footwork is heavily developed in WC, and very important for deflecting or redirecting energy.

WC is self defense. They show you how to kill or hurt someone very badly, very quick. You can spar, and in the school I go to, they do spar. Its called Gor Sau. Kinda like Chi Sau but you are striking. And of course you can always free spar.

watch sifu's arms. he always use both arms in 2 diff. ways @ one time. knows what opp is doing & can do correct response without seeing,& is lightning fast. no1 can learn do that in 4days.
and dat just part of wc that is needed in fight.
