Original Columbia Records vinyl 45 RPM of "The Sounds of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel.

Debut 11/20/1965 and peaked at #1 for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
This was their first big hit that really started their career. Their first charted record, called "Hey Schoolgirl" under the name Tom & Jerry only made it to #49 in early 1958.

This is the HOT MONO mix that sounds so completely different than the common thin, wimpy stereo mix commonly heard today. In fact it's so different, that YouTube does not pick up this WMG song using their audio identification software, and hence, "flies below the radar"!

  • The interesting ...

The interesting thing is I had a video I added the sound of silence too flagged, however I appealed it as it turned out WMG didn't actually own the rights to the particular recording I used.
However they may still ban me like the greedy scum they are, anyhow this is a great recording cheers for uploading it.
