  • I'm afraid I ...

I'm afraid I haven't been able to test any other samples as yet - sorry! But I'd always buy a body like this with the kit lens as it gives it better resales value. And most people will be looking for this body with the IS lens.

  • Gordon. In your ...

Gordon. In your 450D review you mentioned "...the EF-S 18-55mm kit lens which came with our earlier EOS 400D / XTi actually delivered slightly sharper and punchier output than the newer Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS in the EOS 450D / XSi kit.... we look forward to seeing if other samples exhibit a similar effect" - any more samples to confirm this. It may be worth just buying the body as a fellow photographer is practically giving away his standard EF-S 18-55mm.

How is the grib on the 450 vs 400? I tried the 400 in a shop the other day and love the size/weight, but hated the small grib and placement of the shutter button.
