Locks of Love charges people money for the wigs. Also people with cancer rarely get the wigs from Locks of Love. Most of the hair either gets sold or made into wigs for children with alopecia. The wigs are sold on a sliding fee scale to those children most of the time. Not given to them for free.

Two women with two huge ponytails, some moderators, a pair of scissors. Snip, snip - and radically off goes the hair both ladies obviously have worked a lot and cared very well for.

Afterwards two women without ponytails, filled with adrenaline, who don't recognize that they won't be able to do much and be creative with what's left of their once glorious manes.

I am against cutting long hair short, and I am against long hair being frowned upon. Short hair can be sexy, but it is not the way to go for women. Crewcut and pixie cut are not sexy.

Dude, its just hair. A bunch of dead cell in a strand. Did you know even after you die hair continues to grow? Thats weird...but I dunno, short cuts can be very very sexy.

It's funny how many ignorant people are out there. Do a little researching. Locks of Love is a scam. If you do the math, than statistically only about 1% of donated hair is actually given to needy childern. The rest is sold. The Better Buisness Bereau doesn't check that. They only check how much charitable money is raised. If you really want to help a needy kid, donate cash to the American Cancer Society.

Agreed. I'm sure that those needy children with medical hair loss feel the same way as you do. As for those who DON'T approve of "Locks of Love's" cause, imagine how you'd feel if you or someone you know had cancer and lost hair due to Chemo, and couldn't afford a wig. Think about THAT!

They became incredibly average with short hair. All they needed was a clothes makeover. This is often the case when women get their hair cut....it's the clothes they need to change...not the hair.
