    Being able to run 3 miles in X does not define fitness. Its acombination of many factors. Elite distance runner are some of the most unhealthy athletes out there as they tear their bodies to shreds from overuse.

    no. look at all the marathon runners.. they look "skinny fat" and have little to no muscle on their bodies.
    A cross country runner would not make it through a wrestling practice.. they've trained to be able to go long at a slow pace.. they cant sprint or wrestle worth a S**t Fitness is more than just pure running
    studies show that the average bodyfat of a marathon runner is 18%.. the average bodyfat of a wrestler is 6&
