But their secondary wasn't really that great........And they were especially vulnerable against Bill Walsh, Joe Montana and the pass-happy 49ers, who dominated the Bears twice (1984 & 1988) for the right to go to the SB.

Both still records.
i would like to see any other team past, present or future that can put 8 out of 11 starters on the field for the pro bowl.
By ourlad1970 [Affiliate User] 1203766944 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe '85 Bears rank as one of the greatest defenses, but there will NEVER and I mean NEVER be another team like the '70s Steelers. They had all pros at just about every skill position. And that defense, just plain flat out awesome. Good ole blue collar smashmouth football is what the Steelers are all about man.

Where's Mike Webster (HOF)and LC Greenwood (should be HOF) and Dwight White and Ernie Holmes and Donnie Shell and Mike Wagner and Rocky Blier? You can't have a Steelers tribute without the Rock! Even I know that, and I'm an Eagles fan.
