The Quest, Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Hard Target, Lionheart, and Double Impact were also good in my opinion.
Also did you know, JCVD and Frank Dux(character from bloodsport) co-wrote The Quest.

Fair enough. His more recent movies are definitely different than his early ones. Nowadays, he focuses more on acting than action (and he's actually a pretty good actor despite the stereotype he has from his earlier corny line roles), and his recent films are much darker and grittier, tough action dramas as opposed to pure martial arts films. Again, it just boils down to personal taste. People don't have to all like the same movies. That would make for a pretty dull world.

ive seen in hell, derailed, the shepherd and a new one where he plays a weirdo cop-yes-i liked most of his early films-but hated the ones i just mentioned. he also inspired me to get into bodybuilding. i thought he was so cool growing up but he has taken on roles (in my opinion) that make him look bad. if you enjoy his new films-thats great, but i dont think he will ever return to the big screen.

Have you seen Wake Of Death, Until Death, In Hell, or The Shepherd? Those are all newer Van Damme movies that are very good. This is coming from somebody who rates Maximum Risk, Death Warrant, No Retreat No Surrender, and Timecop as JVD's best (if not most popular) films and Cyborg and Streetfighter as his worst. If you haven't seen the 4 mentioned above, you may like them. He's been making more serious films of late. People either really like them or hate them. It's up to personal taste.

No dumbass-I'm not just talking about the fact that the man aged-he also began making shitty movies and he let himself go. He used to be in great shape and played in good action films. Whens the last time you saw a jcvd movie that didnt blow? it's like the guy doesnt try anymore.
