Hi MyAurora1995...thanks!!! Illinois is a great state, and I enjoyed visiting a lot of the historical places. I've heard this song played so many different ways before, but I tried to play it as a hymn, that deserves some solemn style.

Yes I'am from Illinois. I was a choir director for 7 years at one of the local high schools in Springfield Illinois. But I moved closer north In Illinois about 2 years ago. I live about 2 hours away from Springfield now. I done this song a couple of times with my choir classes, it is just 1 of the most
amazing songs. Again you have picked a great theme to go with this song.

I was visiting with friends, and relatives along the way, and doing the tourist thing too. Illinois was a state where I didn't have friends or relatives to visit...so...I had plenty of time to see the places I had not been before...like the scenes in this video. Are you from Illinois?

I was there. I saw every site you mention while I was working in Il about 5 yrs ago. It was a great thrill to see Lincoln's home and tomb. Very inspirational, just like your fantastic rendition of this glorious song. Great work!
