They're both so high that it's disgusting to watch. Since her body so used to high amounts of narcotics, it's not surprising to see that the anesthesia wasn't as effective as it should have been had it been a normal person.
It's really a shame to see someone enable another person to abuse their bodies as he seem to be doing with those drugs.

it was so much pain, because she dosed herself so much in her regular daily life, that it makes it so hard to dose when you really need to during surgery...plain and simple, she had built up a tolerance for pain killers. you can only give someone so much before you risk respiratory or heart failure.

this video is SO misleading. C-sections are responsible for much of our progress in maternal and fetal mortality and morbidity over the past 30 years, though everyone loves to bitch about how unnatural it is. Maybe not natural, but NECESSARY for many. But the anesthesiologist shoud've just put her to sleep. That's what I would've asked for if I were her Ob - I'm not sure if I could operate having to listen to her.

I have had two C-sections one planned and one not, and neither of mine were like this or as NativeMoon stated because I was "too posh to push". Women die from natural child birth as well.. It is very obvious that she was on something or coming down off of something that prevented her from getting properly medicated.

Howard Idolized her but talked to much..He didnt give her a chance to speak because he knew she was loaded It hurt no doubt about it....I hate PAIN toooo

As someone that's an addict to pain killers also, she was surely in withdrawal pain and mental pain also, because you can't receive the medications they give you in the hospital, along with all of the mixed pain killers you take. She probably took a day off of the pills before doing this which started withdrawals and bone pain. Or, the doctors were aware of what she took at home and went from there. Just my opinion.

My first c section the medication didnt work. They had to put me to sleep. My second child I was awake for. So now I am just hoping all goes well with this child and my 3rd c section.

As a woman who has HAD a c section I can tell you I was asked many times if I felt pain and they would have administered additional medication or knocked me out had I felt anything more than just the pulling and tugging which is not pain!

I can also say that I was awake for rotator cuff surgery and THAT was much more uncomfortable than the csection.

Anna was a drug addict, her sense of perception and pain would be altered to begin with.

Perhaps she has become numb or has some sort of immunity to painkillers considering she has been on them for years and she is obviously a morphine addict?? People have C sections everyday without this sort of pain. BirthActivist you are misleading people with your comments. ANS was a drug addict!

While Im not a fan of ANS, I do feel for her having to endure that and I want to thank you for posting this. There are so many things about that video that I could comment on... Living in the UK now, there has been a lot of press here about healthy young women who are "too posh to push" for whatever reason, and there have been several high-profile deaths. Anyone who is considering a C-Section and doesnt really need one should be required to watch this video.

Lol it's called anesthesia. U get it so that it doesn't hurt too much when someone cuts ur stomach open through to your womb to get the baby out.
