Presenting our bodies a living sacrifice is simply living a holy and consecrated life before God it is not literal!!!!!!

Scripture doesn't required that believers go down to an altar. However, it does require that we present our entire being as a 'living sacrifice' to God for His use. Romans 12:1-2. This is the 'consecration' Bynum is talking about. Simply identifying with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection by 'putting off' our fleshly lust, cravings and selfish ways. Old saints call it,' putting the flesh under control' so the Spirit rules all things.

Your scripture is very relevant for the ancient Jewish synagogue of 2,000 years ago. Paul had to issue that mandate because the men and woman sat across from each other during those days. Women shouted questions to their husbands which disrupted the service. This is why Paul gave that instruction. God bless your heart for strict obedience to His Word!

lol you're totally taking that scripture out of context. Examine what was going on in the church of Corinth at that time, women were wearing big jewelry and putting attention off of God to themselves. Yes, its religiously speaking a woman should be submissive to her husband (not a slave), but God still respected women, i.e. the samaritan woman

1 Corinthians 14:34&35

34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

If Jesus went to the altar (the cross) for us, So why are we going to the altar?

Where is your fire? You must be the only perfected being God has created. YOu don't know people. God is saying deal with your own self. YOu are responsible for you and you alone.
