whats done to change the handling on the v-spec compared to the gtr other than a few hundred lbs shaved off?

Who said anything about power? Of course its about handling. The Porsche Carrera GT and the Pagani Zonda have much more higher horsepowers than the GTR,yet they still lost to the GTR.

i will agree this car is nice, awesome even, but the cars awd and extra weight will hurt in on the faster tracks (as in speed) Yes the corvette is now beating by this car but the z06 you compare it to is almost 10k cheaper and still runs a 7:43 i believe with 2wd. so when awd helps at low speed accel and cornering when you are already rolling at a decent speed 2wd is plenty and if you get some good breaks just slow down a little later and lay the rubber to the pavement and it makes up so.. ya.
