Yes, he shares his soul and makes every cover distinctly his own. I love his version of 'Aint No Sunshine'.

You cant discount Jose's genius. Like Stevie Wonder, Ronnie Milsap, Ray Charles & Jeff Healey, these blind men were blessed with amazing talent.

I once read that Morrison was very pleased with Feliciano's version of this one, and even told him so.

To me, the Doors' has more urgency, whereas Feliciano's has more intimacy.

One hint of the greatness of José is that he can cover a song and reinvent it in such a way it sounds like magic. Specially an awesome song like Light My Fire.

He can be a poet or a sex simbol for young girls, but not compare him to Jose like singer or musician..

exept of course for The Doors, Jose Feliciano is an amazing guitarist, but Jim Morrison is a hundred times better singer.

he's a much better guitarist then Robbie Karriger, but as far as vocals, and the over all arrangement, i like the Doors version better.

o and it's not ment to be sung with soul...it's about getting high with your girlfriend.

Feliciano sera un buen guitarrista, un buen artista, pero hay cosas que son inmejorables, y no me jodan con que es mejor esta version que la de los Doors.

En lo personal me parece que aun y que Feliciano sea grande este cover es pesimo. Cuestion de gustos:

The Feliciano version was the onll one that charted in Australia. He is a very special man. In fact the only Doors songs that made it to these shores in a big way were Love Her Madly and and L.A Woman. Great songs, and I'm not canning the Doors, but Jose was a musical step above talent wise.

Sorry but I hate the original version. But I love the way Jose does it with so much soul!
