Petula Clark - This Is My Song 2001
Released 1967, 2 weeks at #1 - 14 weeks on charts in UK
Why is my heart so light
Why are the stars so bright
Why is the sky so blue
Since the hour I met you
Flowers are smiling bright
Smiling for our delight
Smiling so tenderly
For the world, you and me
I know why the world is smiling
Smiling so tenderly
It hears the same old story
Through all eternity
Love, this is my song
Here is a song, a serenade to you
The world cannot be wrong
If in this world there is you
I care not what the world may say
Without your love there is no day
So, love, this is my song
Here is a song, a serenade to you
(Instrumental)
I care not what the world may say
Without your love there is no day
So, love, this is my song
Here is a song, a serenade to you
this is my song...really ele é muito conhecida aqui no Brasil por quem está na faixa dos 40 prá cima

Hey Royko, who are you to say who is washed up? I'd like to see what you're doing at this age - drooling creamed spinach at the old folks' home, perhaps? Anyway, aren't you due back on duty at your dead-end job at McDonald's?

Of course her voice deteriorates, but I am really glad she is still singning. She has accomplished a lot. I don't care what she looks like now. She will always have my respect and admiration. BTW, her French manager was her husband who done a fabulous job managing her to an incredible career..

She looks like an old sow with idiotically unkempt hair -- which someone told her was trendy -- and a failing reedy voice to boot.
She was wonderful in her prime.
Perhaps if she had stayed in the USA, and not have been sidetracked by her idiot French managers, she wouldn't have had to reduce herself to going around like a British fishwife in her waning years just to make a buck.
Right Now she still is not a Dame
