I am a cute, smart, sexy, stubborn, and well mannered German Shepherd Dog, born in November 2005 (don't tell FB my age, I am not allowed to have my own page when under 18, BOL-Barking out loud) in the USA, but both of my real parents are from Frankonia in Germany. My new parents, Michael Pfeffer and Marcia are wonderful, and really care about me, and so do I about them.
I have a great live, lived on a very large property in Michigan for half of my life, and now I live right on the beach.
Other then that, I also had a crazy live, lots of things happened to me.
When I was very you, I was sassy, broke out of the house, ran around in freedom, but didn't know about the danger of those human-automobiles (so they call it, they are lazy, they don't run like I do, they drive). I ran over to the neighbors to say hi, but a car ran me over.
Well, that was number one!!! I survived barely, but I wanted to, so I just kept healing well, and was soon ready for new adventures.
And here is Number two trouble:
On the beginning of May, I started having back pain, I couldn't get up easy anymore, and I thought, I am just getting old....
But that wasn't it, somehow, some mean little Bacterias got a hold of my Spinal Cord, and to make the trouble worse, they went inside of my spinal cord and where hiding there.
Suddenly, I felt that sharp pain in my back, screamed for help, and couldn't stand up anymore.
Wow, it was scary.
My parents rushed my to this Emergency Clinic, not bad there, sweet ladies, good doctors, and my chief Neurologist came from Switzerland, he spoke so funny with his French accent.
He tried everything to find out what's wrong with me, he found not much, and gave up on me.
But that's when I stood up for myself, and told my parents to give me another change, find someone else, find out what's wrong, and we will fight together.
They brought me to UOF, University of Florida, they have a very large Hospital, specialized for me and my German Shepherd buddies.
We found the bacterias, and we fought them together, tough times.
I started to react to the meds, and I think we got them down now.
But unfortunately, I can not walk anymore, but that will have to change.
At first, I thought it's cool, now they are spoiling me, go to the pool everyday, buy me all kinds of stuff, toys, bones, and come immediately when I call them.
But you know what, that's not right, I wana be a dog, I want to run, pee like a man, chase those naughty squirrels, and just go where I feel I want to go (well they don't let me go anywhere but in the house and yard, I am the boss).
Then I started to get really annoyed just laying around all day and not doing anything, they where so nice there, all my helpers where young doctors, my Professor, was the boss of everyone, they did all they could, but they where not my parents, I didn't want to waste my little energy for them. I wanted my parents to take care of me.
They listened to me, the took me home, I surprised them, I walked two steps out of my kennel......
Now I am home again, thank you dog-god for that.
I have my own little car, harnesses, bones, toys, yard, pool, food, water, ice cubes, water hose, and what not.
They get up early, let me go in the yard, let me lay in the sun, play and it's just wonderful.
Now, the hard part is working out everyday, I get tired quick.
My parents are very patient with me, but sometimes I think they are giving up, so everytime I see that, I give them a little perk.
I get up on my legs, I try to stand, and roll my self around. Funny, how easy it is, to cheer them up BOL (barking out loud).
Seems, my muscles are growing, and my nerval fibers are regrowing, but my brain still needs to teach those nerves to function right.
I am very happy, and I will walk soon!!!
If you care, my friends, please pray for all of us and wish us lots of success.
We are trying to pay of my bills now, and I know it's not easy for my parents, but they never complain, they just "take it" and seem to be so happy, having me around, barking, smelling like a dog, making noises, and keeping them very busy.......
