ok look the rail cannon on the yamato would be that big because it was designed to carry them! and seriously stealth bombers are meant for bombing, not shooting. submarine will always be a threat to ships because most torpedos are guided so size doesn't matter much at all. doesn't matter what missile you fire, its still a flying target for the defencive system. and a shield, as in energy shield? if they put that on a plane then they will most likely have it on a battleship

who said rail cannon have to be big? not have to be that big when fly on stealth bomber. rail cannon recoil? so put in aircraft tail with recoil dampener, power with wind turbine, plenty electricity. nobody know what coming. it be like great flying ninja assassin! so what yamato have missile defense, maybe submarine hit it, maybe russian make smart missile, who know, but big ship still big target, little stealth fighter or bomber harder to build shield cover against. very strong strike power!

well been almost a dead corpse many times, but thats another story. and well you may not know this but modern naval ships nowdays are fitted with anti missile defence system. true it would make a large target but thats what those defencive systems are there for. none the less a submarine? it'll take the whole yamato class feel away. and seriously dude a rail cannon the size of one of yamatos cannons being put on a stealth bomber is stupid, firing it in the air would destroy the plane itself

umm well it is known to the public, but they wouldn't literally just give out the blueprint out in the public, like you know scan it and put in on the news paper, but i do think it would be interesting that once railcannon technology is developed that they start rebuilding the yamato class except with railguns and other modern weapons and defencive sistems

funny enough though, the musashi still took a F**k load of punishment, it actually probley absorbed the most hits in out of all ships during the entire war, she took an impressive 17 bomb hits, 20 torpedos. then there were also 18 near misses

well if the japanese put abit of man power into it they could easily build a replica, they found the blue prints recently (which was a pretty big discovery) so yeah why not?
