Modern soldiers use rifles. You need experience to handle a rifle. And oh yea go dodge a bullet like the Matrix style.

Mostly these martial arts now I used for performances and appearances today. They also help in hand to hand combat, but it doesn't take an idiot to figure out that a gun would kill faster. But the ones behind a gun is a coward, the one fighting with barehands would be experienced. See the difference?

wait a second... maybe Karate means empty hand... I forget. You get my point.

The term Kung means energy while Fu means "time". The loose translation would be "Patient Accomplishment". To have exerted great energy toward a goal, over a long period of time. Kung Fu is a reference to the process, not like "Karate", which is a reference to the actual technique (open hand).

That being said, fighting, battles, "how would this do against [insert martial art style]" is unimportant. It is about focus, dedication and personal growth.
