What does it matter? Well, if you're a fan of James Dean one would think you'd want to known person details about his life. That's all..

I'm not really going to argue his sexuality here, because really, what does it matter? Yes he had a relationship with Pier Angeli (who was Italian, by the way). Some have said the relationship was crafted by studio heads, and some have said it was real. How can anymore judge if they were really in love? Angeli killed herself in 1971, 16 years after Jimmy's death--so I doubt he was much of a consideration in her suicide.

He was in love with Pier Angeli (a french actress). She ended up marrying - I think - Mel Torme(?) who beat her. She committed suicide and, shortly after, came his car crash.

Most biographies/friends of his have said that he bisexual, yes. If nothing else, he often used relationships with men to benefit himself/further his career. Who knows which sex he was actually attracted to, however.
